Pelican is a popular static site generator that is powered by Python, but if you are here, you already know that. Among the several Pelican themes you can choose from and easily install, it is also easy to create your own, so I did it for my personal website and I thougth this could have been useful for someone, so here we are. This is the page of the DTheme project, and below you can find the link to the main repo on github with more information.

This Pelican theme is designed for personal websites with a focus for blogging and projects sharing. It's not built with any particular framework like bootstrap, I coded it from a Pelican theme blank template, just for fun. Any feedback would be appreciate.

DTheme is a minimalist, responsive, clean and elegant Pelican theme. Below you can see some features of the theme; for a preview, this site is using DTheme at the time of writing.

Why DTheme for your Pelican blog

DTheme is still in its earlier stage, but it comes with lots of features like:

Among the various checks done to make sure that the theme was performing well, there was also the one done with Google Lighthouse.
The fact of being a static site of a few kilobytes helps in terms of speed, however I tried to optimize what could be optimised, this is the result obtained for the Blog section.

I will work to new features, and to improve the ones already in, and I will share any news in this section.
